For a long time after I moved to New York City, I had wanted to work for John Varvatos. I knew him as a fellow Detroiter, and even had some extended family that had grown up with him. I thought his pioneering of Rock ‘n’ Roll as the aspirational quality for a luxury brand was fresh and unique and I loved the quality of leathers and hand finishing he applied to his footwear. I learned a lot working for John and am proud to have been a part of such an inspirational brand.
